The Team

Rhoda Bamsey

Rhoda, 40 and a mother of three young children, lives on the Isle of Lewis in the Western Isles and runs in her spare time. She knows that this will be the greatest running challenge she’s ever attempted. 'While I’ve run one Edinburgh marathon and other shorter-distance races, this is very different. But I am determined to do it for the Foundation because I believe in what Linda was doing and want to help ensure her work is continued.'

'The Press and Journal' article.

Brian Hindson

Brian, who also lives on the Isle of Lewis and is in his sixties, only started cycling a few months ago but is committed to completing the event. 'I knew Linda from childhood and cycling was one of her passions, so it seemed right that if I was going to do this, it should be on a bicycle. Yes, it will be extremely hard but I can’t think of a more inspiring woman or such a worthwhile cause to raise money for.

John Conway

John, originally from Sligo, Ireland, but now an adopted Londoner and a regular visitor to the Isle of Lewis is also up for the event, 'I wanted to do something that was really challenging for me and that reflected in some small way Linda’s life of achievement'.
